For over 30 years, I’ve engineered and fabricated custom architectural woodwork for high-end homes and New Orleans landmarks like the W Hotel, New Orleans Museum of Art, Aquarium of the Americas, the Insectarium, and the Superdome. While concurrently running a residential kitchen and bath design firm, clients constantly asked: 'What can we do with the front of this kitchen island?' Unimpressed by basic drywall or the high cost of additional custom millwork, I created Archetype Cladding Solutions. By combining my architectural shop background with digital design, we fabricate beautiful, heavy-duty panels that turn ordinary kitchen islands and walls into custom focal points.

  • Continuous Artwork: Wrap your island front or ends in one smooth, uninterrupted design tailored to your exact dimensions.

  • Surface & Finish: Precision-printed on high-durability AquaVinyl ToughCoat, sealed with a heavy-duty 3-mil luster architectural film matching modern kitchen cabinet sheens. Wipes clean and protects against kicks, scuffs, and spills.

  • Substrate & Material Options: We offer three variations to suit your specific project:

    • 1/4-Inch Expanded PVC: Used for two distinct local applications: sweeping curves on large-radius islands, and flat areas where concealed hardware isn't needed. On those flat installations, the 1/4-inch panels can be easily glued or pinned directly in place behind standard cabinet trim or millwork.

    • 1/2-Inch Rigid PVC: Prepped for a concealed Z-clip float mounting system for local installations. All Z-clip mechanical fasteners are supplied, and the panel-side clips are pre-installed at our shop before delivery.

    • Flexible Architectural Film (Substrate-Free): For long-distance clients or direct-surface applications, we offer just the heavy-duty printed film. This option can be safely rolled and shipped to you nationwide in a protective tube.

  • Custom Color Coordination: We offer digital color and tone adjustments so our designs beautifully complement your space. By referencing your room photos or provided paint brands (like Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore), we can shift hues to harmonize with your existing wood floors and cabinet finishes. (Note: Because room lighting and digital screens vary, this service is designed to coordinate with your environment, rather than guarantee an exact 1-to-1 color match.)

  • Locally Crafted & Delivered: Fabricated in Covington, Louisiana, by a professional with over 30 years of architectural wood and cabinet-making experience, and a past member of AWI. We provide local white-glove delivery directly to your job site for all rigid PVC panels, and offer nationwide tube shipping for our flexible architectural films.
